Custom Tags: How to Use Them

Custom Tags are keywords you can add before going live to describe your show. Use tags to highlight your show's vibe or theme. Adding relevant tags makes it easier for viewers who are looking for specific content to find your stream. The more accurately your tags describe your show, the better your chances of reaching the right audience.

How to add Custom Tags

  1. Get ready for your stream and click Start Show
  2. In the pop-up window, enter your Custom Tags in the dedicated field
  3. Create your own tag or select an existing tag from the suggestions
  4. Click Go Live

You can remove or edit your tags before starting your broadcast.

Tag rules

When creating a Custom Tag, make sure it meets the following requirements: it can be up to 25 characters long and may contain only letters, numbers, and spaces. Special characters and emojis are not allowed.

Examples: bikini, your bestie, 69

You can add up to 7 tags per stream. Note that tags must not contain prohibited words or match existing categories.

Can I use Custom Tags in my language?

You can create Custom Tags in any language. Your tags will appear exactly as you enter them and will not be translated, regardless of the platform language or viewers’ location.

Do I have to add Custom Tags?

No. Custom Tags are completely optional. You can start your stream without them, but we recommend adding them so more users can find you.
