The Blocked Words & Phrases filter lets you hide Public chat messages that contain words or phrases you choose, in any language. You can use it to filter out offensive language or keep viewers from sharing your personal information in chat.
You can add up to 300 words and phrases, including:
- Swear words, insults, or slurs
- Your real name
- Your personal contact details
- Your home or work address, or the city you live in
Messages containing blocked words or phrases are hidden from you and everyone else in the room.
Important: Only the sender can see their message. It stays hidden from you and everyone else in the chat, without the sender knowing.
To set up the filter:
- Go to Settings and Privacy
- Find the Blocked Words & Phrases panel and turn on the filter
- Enter the words or phrases you want to block
- Save your changes
